On May 25, the fifth eco-festival “Berega Biry y Bidzhana” was held in the city of Birobidzhan. This is the largest event in the Jewish Autonomous Region, aiming to involve children and youth in environmental issues and to promote waste separation. The festival advocates for a proper and attentive attitude towards ecology and explains how to live more eco-friendly without drastically changing habits.
The EcoFest featured a large entertainment and educational program, including a pavement eco-poster contest, lectures, workshops on making products from recycled and natural materials, bookcrossing etc. Participants collected 10 tons of recyclables (paper, batteries, plastic caps) for further processing.
Representatives of Brucite+ conducted and eco-quiz where participants learned interesting facts about mineral brucite, its extraction methods and ways of application. The most intelligent participants received souvenirs from Brucite+.
