The mining enterprise began its operations back in 1969, four years after Khabarovsk geologist Bronislav Pelyukhovsky accidentally discovered the rare earth mineral brucite. The mineral deposit was found in the Karadub area, between the Izvestkovaya station and the Kuldur resort. A year later in 1967, V. Kuzmin and V. Uspensky began developing the deposit. At that time, approximate estimates indicated that the total brucite reserves contained fourteen million tons of ore.
Today, the Kuldur Brucite is the primary source of brucite extraction in Russia. According to estimates by Industrial Mineral Forums & Research Ltd. and data from Brucite+ Group, as of 2024, the remaining balance reserves of the deposit are nine million tons, which accounts for 12% of the world's total reserves.
For the deposit's anniversary, employees of Brucite+ Group gathered, along with distinguished veterans of the Kuldur Brucite who were awarded honorary certificates for their many years of service and contributions to the development of the enterprise and received gifts.
Particular recognition was given to the company's record holders: excavator operator Dmitry Ulanov and dump truck driver Alexander Kondinsky. Their well-coordinated team had the honor of extracting and transporting the 5-millionth ton of ore from the quarry.
Company’s management highlighted the high performance achieved by the enterprise's workers, emphasized its technological advancements, and assessed the future development prospects of the Kuldur and Savkinsky deposits.
A significant event at the celebration was the placement of a time capsule with video messages from Brucite+ Group employees and partners to future generations, to be opened in 15 years.
