On May 28, the regional stage of the National «Golden Mercury» Award took place in Smolensk — one of the most significant awards in the fields of innovation, economics, industry, export and production.
The Award was established by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in 2002 and is held with the support of the Federation Council, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The competition helps to identify the best regional companies, encourage entrepreneurial initiatives, share innovative ideas and showcase effective Russian business practices.
The 2026 award ceremony brought together leading representatives of small and medium‑sized businesses in the Smolensk region and 53 companies were recognized as leaders in the region.
The ceremony participants received congratulations from the Smolensk Regional Duma, the Government of the Smolensk Region and the City Administration of Smolensk.
«Golden Mercury» retains its status as one of the key events in the region’s business life, showcasing successful business models and helping companies gain visibility at both regional and national levels.
